The Salesforce Certified Administrator exam has 60 multiple-choice questions (plus up to 5 unscored pilot questions). The pass mark is 65%. You have 105 minutes. The exam can be taken online or at a Prometric testing centre.

A 4-Week Study Plan
Week 1: Complete the Salesforce Administrator trail on Trailhead. Focus on org setup, user management, and security model (profiles, permission sets, OWD, sharing rules).
Week 2: Cover standard objects (Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Cases), custom objects, and the Lightning App Builder.
Week 3: Focus on automation — Flow Builder, validation rules, and approval processes. Also cover reports and dashboards thoroughly (14% of the exam).
Week 4: Take practice exams, review weak areas, and read through the official exam guide one final time.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Don't just read — build it. Salesforce provides free Developer Edition orgs. Hands-on practice with flows, reports, and security settings is far more effective than passive reading. Don't skip the data management topic; import/export, data quality tools, and duplicate rules appear more often than candidates expect.
